About us

How we use AI

Decarbonisation News uses artificial intelligence tools in its editorial work. We use them to monitor industry, government and research sources, research stories and prepare first drafts. We also use AI to generate some header images.

An editor reviews every article before we publish it. That review checks facts, figures, quotes and sources against the original material. The editor can amend or reject any piece. We link to our sources in the text so readers can check them.

Dominic Shales is the editor responsible for everything Decarbonisation News publishes. He has the authority to approve, amend or reject any article. You can contact him at [email protected].

Some text produced with AI tools carries an invisible watermark that software can detect. AI-generated images may also carry Content Credentials (C2PA) metadata. We leave these marks in place.

If you find an error, please tell the editor. We correct mistakes and note the change on the article.
